Thanksgiving Message

On the eve of Thanksgiving, we should all take a moment and reflect on this great day.

Although the anger and disappointment that we feel in the way the election unfolded are understandable, we should take time to reflect on all that we have and to be grateful.

Let us be grateful that we live in the greatest country on earth!  We continue to have the blueprint for a “Free Society” and countless dedicated patriots who are resolved to preserve our beloved Republic and the rights of the sovereign individual.   Together we remain committed never to be undermined by those that believe that the sovereign individual is subordinate to the collective.

Being grateful is what, in my opinion, separates “We the People” (Deplorables) from those that wish to “transform” our country.  “We the People” will continue to preserve and protect it!  Together with gratitude, we will endeavor to make AMERICA GREATER THAN EVER while preserving our history and preserving our freedoms. For we recognize that in spite of our flaws, we are fundamentally a noble society that is continuously striving to achieve the “more perfect union”. This lofty goal may always be beyond our reach yet one we should be dedicated to ceaselessly.  This aspiration sets us apart from the rest of the free world!

I am thankful to all of you for giving me the honor of being Chairman of LD18 these past two years. It has been a rewarding experience that I will cherish.  Irrespective of the election outcome, I am incredibly proud of our PCs and volunteers. Your hard work, dedication, and the indefatigable drive demonstrated in getting out the vote in support of our candidates and our President was truly inspiring.

In closing I want to leave you with my favorite quote – it always reminds me, whenever I feel tired of the fight and want to take a break, that Freedom is well worth your best effort!

“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.”  Thomas Paine

On behalf of your LD 18 GOP Executive Board, I wish you a peaceful Thanksgiving, and God’s blessings upon you and your family.

In Liberty with Gratitude,
Ed
